Last Saturday, for a surprise after teaching, Tom took me to a florist and helped me pick out flowers to make a bouquet for our room. We bought some white freesia, a couple roses, some pretty purple stuff, two different little branches of lovely green stuffs, and a few other neat things. I'm bad, I don't know flowers and plants very well. The bouquet is right by my desk and all the flowers are just so lovely. The roses are two different kinds of pink rose, and they smell gorgeous. The freesia are beautiful and they have the oddest scent, kind of like black pepper or something, but it's really neat.
I've been sick with a cold for the last few days. poo. I think one of my students gave it to me. I hope I am well enough to teach by next Saturday. :/
Last night Tom and I made stuffed mushrooms, and spicy sun-dried tomato sauce with pasta. The pasta, which I don't remember the name of, it's something like champanelle, looked kind of like little flowers. hee hee
Well, more tea and resting for me. Tom picked up a couple books for me to read when he was at the library yesterday: A Short History of Myth and Don't Know Much About Mythology. yay! Those should be good sick-time reads. And American Idol is on tonight, which will be fun; I can't wait until we get past the auditions and to the competition part.
